(504) 482-2615 for confidential documents. You may also send Dr. Newman an initial email inquiry using the form boxes at the bottom of this page. Because of the highly individualized nature of care, new
patients are seen on a very limited basis. Please call to discuss your scheduling needs. We provide both Telehealth and in-person services.
PLEASE NOTE : This is not an emergency or urgent mental health care facility: If you have a life-threatening or very urgent mental health concern, please go to your nearest hospital Emergency Department or call 911 for immediate help.
COVID19 Pandemic: During surges in infections or when exposure risk is elevated, we conduct health care services virtually, using telemedicine. To use video Telehealth services you will need access to a broadband internet (wifi) and a private quiet place for your session. When in-person services resume, you may be asked to wear a mask while visiting our office. Please call and speak to us about your concerns, and for specific information about how to connect for Telehealth services.
HOLIDAY OFFICE HOURS: The office will be closed during major U.S. Holidays and during some local and academic school year holidays, for example, between Christmas and New Year's Day holidays, on Mardi Gras (New Orleans), Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, and on Thanksgiving and the following Friday. Other closings will be announced as needed.
INCLEMENT WEATHER: Stay posted with local authorities and follow your own best judgment for the area where you live or work. We generally close the office when area schools or when state or federal buildings close for inclement weather conditions, or if
local conditions include power outages or street flooding. In the case of a major storm and evacuation we will contact patients for subsequent hours or closings as soon as feasible. In case of power outages, the office telephone lines could be affected. Established patients should reach us by the appointment messaging text line provided or by email.
